Gaggle of Geese Pattern!

2 Jan

I finally have my Gaggle of Geese pattern available for purchase!

It measures 44″ x 44″ and would look great on a wall, or as the center medallion for a bed quilt.  The pattern includes step-by-step instructions and printable templates, plus a coloring sheet to plan out your quilt.

The quilt will take a fair amount of time to make, but it really is not difficult.  You should have some paper-piecing experience, or check out my paper-piecing tutorial.  This is pretty basic paper-piecing, so beginners can surely do it.  Also, you will need to sew set in circles, but they are large and not scary at all (I promise)!  I have provided instructions for sewing them.

It’s the new year, so it’s time to learn something new!

My 5-year-old son wanted to pose with the quilt, so this will give you some idea of scale.  He asked me to hang it in his room, but I think I want it somewhere more prominent (sorry Liam).

If you are interested in purchasing the pattern, you may go to MY STORE and you will receive the PDF via email, or if you are non-EU, you may purchase from Craftsy.

Have a Happy New Year!

Yay! I’m not up to it yet, but I’ll be coming along to buy this sometime this year. It is so striking and beautiful! I can definitely see it hanging on one of my walls

Just gorgeous. Love the rainbow effect. Did you happen to keep track of the colors that you used?

I did not. I pulled from my stash, but they are all Kona’s.

Wow! I am impressed with your colourful quilt!! The Flying Geese blocks are perfect!! I tried some last night and out of the eight only one is right on!! I would need more practicing to even think about attempting your quilt pattern!!

I love this pattern and would make a great scrap pattern. Gotta finish the spiral first then maybe this one next.

    Hi Janice,

I am on your website and interested in purchasing two quilt patterns. I saw them in your store and saw you mentioned crafty too. I notice they are both $1 more on craftsy. Maybe they do that for all patterns but I wanted to check in to see if there is any difference between the pattern you are selling through your store and the one available via craftsy?

    Thank you!

    Michelle

Dear Janice! I just found your blog and it’s because I purchased this pattern on Craftsy!!! You are my hero for designing this and I can’t wait to make it!!! I’m in love with it and somewhat fearful of the circles! I’ve done a few and should be over my fear, but would hate to not do this quilt justice!!! So excited and happy to find you!!! 🙂

I have finished the circles of my gaggle of geese top. I am having a terrible time figuring out how the background pieces fit together. Can you give me any help?
