Sew Cute Tuesday

2 Sep

Happy Tuesday, Everyone!

Better Off Thread

How is everyone this week?  I just got back from a whirlwind trip to a 100th birthday party and now I am planning for my son’s 4th birthday.  I have been asked to combine Wall-e and the Space Shuttle into one theme. That should be…interesting!

Thanks for spreading the word about Sew Cute Tuesday.  We had so many great projects on the link-up last week.  Here are a few:

•••

1

Gemma at Pretty Bobbins made this beautiful, fussy cut, quilt for her daughter’s new big girl bed.  Check out her blog for more amazing photos (you have to see Gemma’s feather quilting!).

•••

2

Adrianne at On the Windy Side made these nesting bowls for a swap partner (lucky partner!).  I love the improv piecing in the center mixed with that grey linen!

•••

3

Melissa at We Shall Sew’s little hexie quilt is so adorable.  The quilting is the perfect touch and I love her use of spray baste for appliqué. Check out Melissa’s blog for details on how she made this mini.

•••

It’s time to link-up your projects from the past week!

• Sewing projects only (that includes crochet, knitting and anything with fabric and thread!)

•Please be sure to visit a couple other blogs in the link-up and give them some love.

I’ve been seeing different versions of baskets everywhere lately. So, of course I had to try to make a few variations of them myself!
    Thanks for hosting the linky!

My son was Wall-E (I made his costume) one year for Halloween and had a Space Shuttle birthday party once too. I think you’re right on track for boy interests! lol Good luck with the party planning and if you need any tips–let me know. I made rocket boosters for each of the kids and they LOVED them. Plus they were easy! A little time-consuming but easy!
