WIP Wednesday

21 Nov

I am finally having a week where I feel like I am making a lot of progress on my unfinished projects.  I’m eager to get them crossed off before the new year and start fresh!

In no particular order:

wee wonderfuls kit, chloe, louise doll

Doll #2 of 3 is done!  She will arrive at her new home on Thanksgiving.  Doll #3 is cut out and the next step is stuffing.

Unwind, jaybird quilts

Unwind quilt is ready to be quilted…I just need my new machine to get here!

quilted tree skirt from Fat Quarterly

Tree skirt is being thread traced and quilted right now.

scrappy hexagon quilt

I’ve decided on a layout for the Scrappy Hexagon Quilt (and no, it isn’t the layout pictured above).  I’ve decided to do diagonal rows.  I’m really excited about the low volume fabrics I’ve added in.  I think it gives the eyes a place to rest (plus who doesn’t like texty fabric!).

Do you work on one project at a time, or skip around a lot, like me?  I think I have a project for every mood.

Your doll is very sweet. I like the tree skirt a lot too. I too have several projects going at a time (too many usually).

Love your Christmas tree skirt – I have one of those on my to-do list this year – seeing yours is inspiring me to get on it! Also love those hexies – I look forward to seeing what they will turn into 🙂

I love the tree skirt! I work on a bunch of projects at once, and then I temporarily abandon them all to start and finish a new one, and then I go back to the group that I was working on.
