Crazy Nine-Patch Quilt

25 Apr

My crazy nine patch quilt is finally done!  I followed this tutorial from Oh Fransson!  Not sure if I am lovin’ it anymore.  I tried to do something different with the quilting and I think this was the first time I ever took a quilt out of the dryer and wanted to iron it.  It also bugs me that I picked some larger directional patterns (like the ducks), that really need to be fussy cut.  Oh well, we learn as we create.

Here is a close-up of the quilting:

The back is an Anna Maria Horner print.

I think it looks great! I love the colors you chose. I know what you mean about the fussy cutting–I’m working on a 9-patch lattice quilt using Elizabeth’s tutorial (mine is non crazy), and some of the fabrics would’ve benefitted from fussy cutting. Maybe next time!
