Baby Quilt progress

1 Jun

Here is the aqua, blue and green baby quilt I am working on.

I used a pattern that Oh Fransson sells at her etsy shop and I guiltily used a lot of the same fabrics that she used in her quilt. Why mess with perfection?!  I fell in love with the lime green and aquas and the Alexander Henry 2D Zoo print.  I purchased extra fabric and will make crib sheets, skirt, bumper, curtains and other items out of them.  I can’t wait to see how it all turns out!

Next step is quilting and then applying the back, which is light blue minky dot.  Possibly one of the softest fabrics I have ever felt.

Some of the other fabrics I am using are:

Robert Kaufman Essex Lime (for the sashing)

Amy Butler Belle Oxford Stripe (for the binding)

Alexander Henry “Entertaining Elephants”

Good Folks “Cathedral” in Dusk

Sheri Berry “Baby Dots”

Amy Butler “Lotus Wallflower”

Michael Miller/ Sandi Henderson “Apple dot”

Michael Miller “Disco Dots”

a Japanese Print Elephant Fabric from Etsy.

I love the animal prints. And they match the curtains! Nice…

Found your site via a google search for 2D zoo quilt ideas. Just have to tell you what a great quilt this is! Just love it!
