Sew Cute Tuesday

It’s time for Sew Cute Tuesday!

There were so many fantastic link-ups last week. Thank you all so much for spreading the word.  I’m sorry that I haven’t been able to comment on everyone’s posts.  I have several deadlines at the end of this month that are keeping me busy.  My dream is to be able to leave a comment on every single blog (I also dream of a vacation to Hawaii, but that isn’t happening anytime soon!).

Here are a few great projects from last week:

Kim at Robot Mom Sews made three of these laminated crayon wallets.  This is another one of those items that is on my to-do list for the kids.  Check out her blog for a great tutorial on laminating fabrics.  Don’t you think that kitty fabric is the cutest!

•••

All I can say is “WOW!”  when I look at this quilt top made by Marianne at Sew Paint It.  There is so much to look at and I love all the fussy cutting. Go to her blog for close-ups of the fabric and piecing. A very lucky little girl will be getting this quilt!

•••

June at Lil Pip sewed up this “Pristine Swing Dress” out of knit and it turned out really cute.  She used a pattern line called “Blank Slate Patterns” and they have fantastic kid’s patterns and several for boys.  You can find out more info on June’s blog.  I’m going to try them out!

Sew Cute Tuesday

Are you ready to link-up?!

I had a busy week sewing for work, but I’m going to be getting back to personal projects this week, and I can’t wait!
So many great projects were shared last week and here are a few that inspired me:
•••
Adrianne from “On the Windy Side” made this striking low-volume plus quilt using Oakshott for the solids.   I have been looking for color inspiration for the low-volume spiderweb that I want to make and THIS is it.  If you haven’t worked with Oakshott, try them out.  They are so amazing.
•••
I love these drawstring preschool bags Alyce from “Blossom Heart Quilts” made for her son.  My poor son has an extra change of clothes in a giant zip-lock bag.  I think he would really love these, especially with a robot print!
•••
Michelle at “Squeek Crafts” made these postage stamp pillows.  What a great use for scraps and I love that little wonky star on the blue pillow.  Check out Michelle’s blog to see how she did the back opening.  I like it better than the envelope back I normally do.

Sew Cute Tuesday

Happy almost May, everyone!

It’s time for Sew Cute Tuesday!

Better Off Thread

There were 40 fantastic link-ups last week! You guys rock! Thanks for spreading the word about Sew Cute Tuesday.

Here are a few projects that caught my eye:

•••

Cassandra from Cass Can Sew made this chic little girl’s capelet from pink corduroy and vintage sheets.  What little girl wouldn’t want to twirl around in this?

•••

I love this adorable Tea or Coffee mini made by Gemma from Pretty Bobbins.  She is selling the pattern on Craftsy and she also has crazy-cute pattern for a retro TV that you MUST check out.

•••

Jill from Creating My Way To Success posted a tutorial for this cute and funny little “A Round Tuit” Mug Rug.  This would make a great gift (most specifically for your husband, ha-ha! “).  My family used to go to a mini-golf course when I was little that would hand out “Round Tuits”, so I have a certain fondness for this little mug rug.

Sew Cute Tuesday

And we’re back!

It’s time for Sew Cute Tuesday!

Sorry for the brief hiatus last week.  Real life has been crazy busy!

You guys posted so many great projects two weeks ago!  Here are a few highlights:

Hannah from Hugs And Kisses made this adorable and flattering dress from a vintage pattern.  The fit is great and the cut is so cute.

I am loving this jewel toned quilt that Mareen from Aquamareen Quilting made for the Pantone Emerald Quilt Challenge.  The half square triangles in various monochromatic shades give the quilt so much movement.

The Domestic Groove posted a tutorial on making fabric Easter Baskets.  These would also make great storage bins.  I love that one is my old Alma Mater!

Sew Cute Tuesday

It’s finally time for Sew Cute Tuesday!

(A little late, but hey, it’s only 8am here!)

There were so many great projects last week!  Here were a few that caught my eye:

Alissa from Gold Shoe Girl made this adorable pillow.  I love the big, red rick-rack trim.

Heather at Winding Bobbins wins the Crazy Quilter award for making a bathmat out of hand-sewn hexagons!  I LOVE it! Most people’s hexagon projects lay in a box unfinished (like mine) and she found a unique use for them and can enjoy looking at them everyday.

Amanda at Material Girl made placemats from charm packs and a great Moda cross-weave fabric (I need some!).  I really want to make more items for the house this year and these are definitely on my list!

Sew Cute Tuesday

Is it  already Tuesday again?!

I hosted Plum & June’s “Let’s Get Acquainted Monday Link-Up”  yesterday, so I’m going to do something a little different this week, and merge the two link-up lists together.  If you already linked up yesterday, you’ll see your blog on the list, and you don’t need to link-up again.

If you’ve haven’t been to Plum and June’s blog, check it out! Beth is a very talented lady and she hosted a great “Advice for New Bloggers” series last year.  Lots of great tips and information to check out!

Here are a few great projects that were linked-up to Sew Cute Tuesday last week:

I love this Peanut Butter & Jelly Game by Connie of “Family Home and Life”.  What a great way to introduce a younger child to game playing.  Check out Connie’s tutorial to make your own!

This Vintage Sheet Baby Quilt at Skooks’ Playground is so fun.  It reminds me of a watercolor painting.  If you read my blog, you know I adore anything made with vintage sheets (I’m binding a vintage sheet quilt tonight!).

Lauren at Seraphym made these striking black & white throw pillows.  Check her blog to see all three.  I love that they are all different, but made with the same gorgeous black and white prints.

Sew Cute Tuesday

Love was in the air last week at Sew Cute Tuesday!

I loved seeing all the linked-up projects, especially the Valentine’s Day ones, since I never got around to making anything myself!

•••

Jo at The Crafty Nomad make this fun Valentine Tree Pillow.  I love that texty print for the trunk!

This Valentine’s Day shirt was made using iron-on velour by Liz at Howling at the Moon. I need to try that on a shirt for Emmeline.

Christa at Christa Quilts made this beautiful table runner. She has a sew-along on her blog, so you can make your own!  I am filing the square pillow layout in my ideas for next V-day!

Sew Cute Tuesday

It’s time for Sew Cute Tuesday!
I must have a hankering to make some purses and pouches, because that’s what caught my eye this past week:
Heather from Winding Bobbins made this zipper pouch for the Triple Zip-Along on Flickr. I need to make one (or two) of these, because the organizational system right now in my purse is a series of zip-lock bags.
•••
This cute library bag was made by Pam from Threading My Way and she has a great tutorial so you can sew your own.
•••
Martha of Weekend Doings made this gorgeous pouch for the Pretty Little Pouch Swap. I love the hand-stitching and the roomy rectangular shape.

Sew Cute Tuesday

It’s time for another Sew Cute Tuesday!
The link-up is growing and I’d like to thank everyone for spreading the word.  Here are a few of the amazing projects that were linked-up last week:
Jenni from Just Stuff shared a tutorial for these hooded scarves made from long-sleeved shirts.  My son needs the robot one, since he spends most of the day pretending to be Wall•E.
Rachael from Imagine Gnats made this downloadable cross-stitch pattern which is a mini replica of a quilt she designed.  I love anything miniature and the fabric she chose to stitch it on is so pretty.
Amy from Glitter, Vinyl and Thread made this fun tote bag for a swap.  I love the rainbow fabrics mixed with linen and this flying geese block has been on my to do list for a long time!

Sew Cute Tuesday

Tuesday has come ’round again, which means it’s time for another linky party!

  Better Off Thread

I have to say, it is SO hard to choose projects to feature each week.  You guys are all so dang creative.  I’m sorry it took me awhile to get around to each blog this week.  I have been a busy little bee!

Here are a few projects that caught my eye last week:

Teje from Nero’s Post and Patch made these cheerful quilted baskets.  I’ve had something like this on my list for a long time.  I need more storage and store bought baskets are expensive.

Jan from I Quilt For Fun is busy HAND appliquéing these beautiful and intricate Lollipop blocks.  The pattern is Kim McLean’s Lollypop Trees and I can’t wait to see Jan finish it!

Jenn from A Jennuine Life up-cycled an old sweater into a Grandpa Cardigan for her little girl.  I love the green and yellow together and how can I resist a toddler sweater with elbow patches!
