Fat Quarterly Issue 14: Summer

The Issue 14 of Fat Quarterly is out today and I am thrilled to say that the pattern for my “No Strings Attached” Quilt is in it!

I had so much fun designing and sewing this quilt that I made TWO.  Featured in Fat Quarterly is a 59″x 71″ couch quilt made with Indian Summer by Sarah Watson.

I also made a smaller, baby quilt, version using Don’t Be Crabby, by Laurie Wisbrun and various solids.

Because two isn’t enough, I still want to make yet another version, using only scraps.  This quilt will utilize even your tiniest scraps and the giant triangles make it go together quickly.

Head on over and check out the issue!

  1. what beautiful quilts! and you sure have been busy !! How long did it take to make the first one? I really would like to snuggle under that one on a snowy evening! Is there a reason you used white as the “sashing”? thanks for sharing?

  2. Congratulations on your Fat Quarterly magazine feature – I really love the Indian Summer version of this quilt! Can’t wait to see the super scrappy version too.

  3. I love each one….that design is really awesome and will be a “crowd pleaser” regardless of the fabric used. Congrats to you!!!!! Hugs……

  4. I read your pattern this morning in the issue, and it is lovely. I also love how it sets off the palette in the Indian Summer prints so nicely.

  5. I LOVE how this turned out! I’ve been searching for your pattern, but it seems that fag quarterly doesn’t exist anymore, and I would love to make this quilt! Please email the pattern if you can! Thanks!
