Originally part of the Beehive Series at Blossom Heart Quilts, this block is fun to make with a quilting bee, or alone. It creates an illusion of curved orange peels when several blocks are sewn together all without the need to sew any curves! It is a great quilt for using scraps, too. This downloadable PDF will give you the instructions and templates for making one block. Make as many as you like to create a quilt of any size.
SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Block: 12″ x 12″ finished
RECOMMENDED WITH THIS PATTERN
- For one 12″ block: about a fat 8th of background fabric and various scraps 2-1/2″ and 3-1/2″.
- For a 60″ x 72″ Quilt: 3 yards of scraps and 4-1/2 yards Background fabric
