I’ve been working on a lot of different projects, but rarely finishing anything. I seriously need to stop starting new things!
This is a 26″ x 36″ “block” for an Improv Bee I am in with Jess at The Elven Garden. I really love how it turned out and I would love to make an entire quilt from these wonky triangles. My inspiration was this quilt by Rossie at Fresh Modern Quilts.
I also finished up my “Round the Blocks” quilt top. I just need to find time to quilt it! I am really drawn to top and bottom borders and polka-dot backgrounds right now. I want to use dots for everything!
Look at those great dots! They are called La Creme Swiss Dots by Riley Blake and they look and feel as yummy as they sound.
I participated in the Instagram Mini Swap late last year and this was the quilt I made my partner. It measures 24″ x 24″, so those half-square triangles are each 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″.
This is another quilt that I would love to do again, but as a full sized quilt with larger squares. Yes, those are more dots! The grey and white are from Jennifer Sampou’s Black and White Collection.
Lastly, this was a design I was playing around with just to see if I could make it. I call it “Argyle Socks”. I thought about writing up a pattern for it, but it’s I bit complicated, so I think it is just going to become a pillow.
Have a great rest of the week!

I think it’s great to hear that you push yourself just to ‘see if you can do it’. I lespecially love the discovery factor of sewing and quilting. I’m curious what fabrics you use for both you solids and background in your “Argyle Socks”. Would you share that? They’re all happy Eye Candy for a cold, dark morning here. Thanks!
