The results are in for my Blogiversary giveaway and I will be making a mini quilt of…
Highway 101/Oregon Coast!!
Jill R., I will be emailing you shortly.
While I will admit, I have never actually been to Oregon, I do drive on highway 101 everyday (though down here in LA, we call it THE 101). I also lived right off of it when we spent 3 years in Sonoma County (where it is simply referred to as “101”). Driving on it always made me feel connected to LA and my friends. I will do my best to make your mini, Jill, and I already have a few ideas percolating.

I was in the process of viewing possible properties for our family Thanksgiving on the Oregon Coast, so the choice sounds great to me. I’ve been wanting to make a DNA quilt, so the votes for that one are very interesting. Does anyone have suggested quilt photos or patterns for a DNA quilt?

That will be a neat quilt. We drove on that road from LA to SF during our Cali trip last spring 🙂

I was going to say I hope you’ve been there before 🙂 At least this way you’ll get to explore it!

I love it! Having had family in the Portland/Salem OR areas for decades, I have visited this area before and so those landmarks have meaning for me. What a great idea for a mini-quilt.

Even I’ve driven Oregon’s 101 and I live north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. OK it is because I was visiting my big bro who is a prof out there. Beautiful coast, can’t wait to see it’s quilt equivalent.
