Funbots!

26 Jun

Screen Shot 2013-06-29 at 8.04.31 AM

It’s all robots all the time at my house right now!  My kids are Wall-E crazy, so when my friend, Ramona, made adorable stuffed robots for Quilt Market, I had to sew them up, too.  Ramona designed these “Funbots” to complement Ann Kelle’s Fun bot fabric, and fun they are!

IMG_4611 I used all fabrics from my stash (kitty print for Emmeline, dog print for Liam) and I let Liam choose what they would look like.  He wanted one red eye on his Funbot and a Hello Kitty Funbot for Emmeline.

I love that they are so big and cuddly.  You can see the size next to my very tall 2 and 3 year-olds.  Liam named his robot “Roboty” (very original) and Emmeline named hers “Hello Kitty Darth Vader”.

Sleepytime.

I don’t think there is anything sweeter than your child falling in love with something you create.

Hello Kitty Darth Vader!! Oh my goodness, the cuteness!! My kids love Wall*E too – my son pretends to be Wall*E collecting all the rubbish… if only he’d clean up properly so willingly 😉

love them!! and I completely agree with you- nothing touches a Mom’s heart more than watching her child love something you create. My son is 9, and I can say that feeling doesn’t change with age. 🙂

How cute! Hello Kitty Darth Vader – classic! I really didn’t realise how big these were until I saw them next to your kids for scale. And wow, you are right, your kids are really tall!

I love how kids name things! My daughter went through a stage of naming everything Penny, the stuffed dog, my brother’s real dog, dolls, you name it, she wanted to call it Penny. It got to the point where she wanted to call her new baby sister Penny! (We wouldn’t oblige I’m afraid – we called her Marged) Now Hello Kitty Darth Vader – that shows imagination!
