I’m in a bit of transition right now. I’m trying to get reorganized before I start the next quilt and hopefully finish a few UFOs.
I am working on these word blocks for my quilting bee. Alison asked for our name and also a word that makes us think of Alison, our bee, or the LAMQG. She mailed us great vintage linens and two shades of blue solids.
Here is my name:
And here is my word…well ok I cheated and did a phrase. I promise you, it won’t say “Sweet ho” in the end! It’s going to say “Sweet as Honey” (Our bee likes to make buzzing bee jokes, plus they are all the kindest women I have ever worked with).
Here is my other unfinished and grossly neglected WIP:
I’ve been reorganizing my fabric by color and folding it into bins. It is so inspiring to see it this way!
My last WIP isn’t fabric, but it is sewing related. I’ve been painting a vintage singer featherweight:
Cherry red, baby!
I’m linking up this week with “Freshly Pieced” for WIP Wednesday. Stop on over and check out what other people are creating:
Oh, that sewing machine looks awesome! And I love your letter block with the vintage sheet. Very cool.
I love those letter blocks. It sounds like such a fun project! Your featherweight looks impressive. I am a sucker for anything red! Thanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday!
Thanks and thank you for hosting!
Your letters look great.
Good luck sorting your fabric. That’s the sort of project that I start with lots of enthusiasm but tend to lose interest in about halfway though- I hope you stick at it better than I do!
Love the red featherweight.
Thanks! I got through all the prints and I jammed the solids and scraps back in the cupboard:)
Oh! I’m so jealous!!!! I want so much to own a custom-painted featherweight. 🙂
It is definitely a labor of love and right now the water-slide decals are being a PIA!
