New Baby!

15 Dec

Yup, that’s right!  I have a baby girl due in May!

I’ve seriously been missing in action lately, and I have barely even been keeping up with my quilting bees, much less the blog.  On top of that, it’s the holidays and Liam is also transitioning to one nap, so I feel like I barely have time to breathe.

I had an inkling this baby would be a girl, so I purchased quilt fabric about a month ago on a whim.  This is what I have so far:

I’ve been wanting Heather Ross’s “Far Far Away” fabric for a long time, so I jumped at a reason to buy some.  I love the idea of a fairy tale quilt and the colors are girly, but not your typical pale pink.  I’m planning to make a quilt and maybe a few other items for the nursery.

I haven’t figured out what the quilt will look like yet, but I will probably add in some Kona solids in purple, pink and yellow/orange and maybe a natural colored linen.

I’m so excited to make little tiny summer dresses and cute baby girl things and clothing for her dolls later on! I adore my little boy, but his clothing just isn’t as fun and I doubt he will want new fashions for his Mr Potato Head.

Congratulations! Two under two, right? And so exciting to have one of each gender! Enjoy!
