My March block for the Vintage Sheet Quilting Bee is done and I am mailing it off in the morning! I was really pleased with how it turned out. I would have liked to have done 2 blocks, but time just isn’t permitting right now with the move. I am loving being a part of a sewing bee and the other ladies are making beautiful blocks. You can see what everyone else is doing over at our flickr group. I think next month Jane @ Fancy Two is requesting a Dresden Plate. I have never done one, so I am thrilled to get to try something challenging and new.
I also joined a bee through the Los Angeles Modern Quilt Guild, and I’m glad to still be active in some way, even though I won’t be in LA anymore. Sadly, the modern quilt guilds in San Francisco will be a little far for me to attend.

Our house is on the market and we found a beautiful home in Petaluma to rent for now. Once the dust has cleared we will figure out if we want to buy, since we may only be up north for 2 1/2 years. I’m going to miss my little 1927 English Tudor here in LA. We’ve only lived in it for two years, but there are so many memories.
We had our engagement photos taken at this house.
We came home to this house as husband and wife.
We had a room redone by HGTV in this house.
We brought our baby home to this house.
The realtor had really great photos taken, so now I can always remember our house as being pristine and clutter-free (ha!). Of course, now I have to keep it that was every single day until we either sell it, or move.

Your house is darling, I see why you are sad to leave it:(
