Liam turned 5 months old on February 5th and I did something very special in honor of his monthiversary:
I got my sewing machine back out!
Yes, that’s right. I am going to attempt to get back to sewing. Liam is taking naps in his crib for the most part (though he is very fond of 25 minute cat naps). He goes to bed at 8pm like a good little boy and wakes up about 7am (of course, he also wakes up 1 to 3 times between 8pm and 7am). So I have a tiny amount of free time, between figuring out dinner and cleaning up after the cats.
I am currently remaking a wedding dress for a friend of mine. She is going to wear her mom’s 1974 prairie style wedding gown for her 10/10/10 nuptuals. Can we say high-necked ruffles and leg-o-mutton sleeves? I’ve totally torn the dress apart and it is coming along quite nicely. I’ll share the before and after once her wedding is over.
Now, I just have to figure out what quilting project to start!
