My fabric arrived and I have been busy sewing my little fabric birds for my baby mobile! I will post the finished product once I am done. I have already been thinking about what I can make to coordinate with the bird mobile and I am considering making a baby quilt. I have never quilted, but I have been wanting to for years. This is the perfect opportunity, because baby blankets are much smaller than normal quilts and I am inspired to decorate the baby room. The quilt could have the same fabrics as the birds’ in the mobile and maybe look something like this:
I also came across this quilt by Oh, Fransson:
It wouldn’t have as many birds on it, but it is SO adorable. I could still use the matching fabrics to coordinate it with the bird mobile. She also has a kitty one that is to die for:
Kitties and birdies go together, don’t they?
The bonus is that Oh, Fransson offers the pattern and instructions on Etsy, so I would have a guide since, although I am an expert sewer, I am a novice quilter.
Time to get stitchin’!

Hi, I really like the bird quilt you’ve posted above (the first one, with the birds in the tree). Can you tell me where you found it? Do you have instructions on how to make it?
Cheers,
Lisa

Love the bird in a tree quilt. Can you tell me how or where I can get the pattern to the quilt?
