But does it have GPS?

4 Feb

Valentine’s day is just around the corner and do I have just the gift for that special, pain-in-the-butt-to-shop-for, man in your life!

I came across these precious vintage map cufflinks by talented jewelry designer Anne Holman when I was wracking my brain trying to come up with a wedding gift for my husband. This guy has EVERYTHING and I wasn’t about to get him another game for his Wii. I wanted something sentimental, lasting and thoughtful.
Anne has a vast collection of antique maps and atlases and will custom make your cufflinks using any destination in the world you desire, like your hometown, honeymoon destination, or where Fido was born. I chose where were were married (Solvang, CA) and where my husband’s family is from (Tipperary, Ireland). The maps are set in oxidized sterling silver, giving them a yummy antique appearance. Definitely heirloom worthy.

Anne is also super sweet and rushed my order since I was a major procrastinator.

Here are the cufflinks she created for my husband:

If your honey is not of the masculine persuasion, Anne also creates beautiful custom pendants, bracelets and lapel pins.

I can’t tell you how much I loved my cufflinks. they were amazing and took me a minute to register the locations in the cufflinks. when I made the connection, I started to cry. It was so personal and wonderful. They are the greatest gift!
