Scrappy Trip Along

Happy Saturday, everyone!

Scrappy Trip Around the World Quilt

I finished my Scrappy Trip Around the World quilt top!  This was pretty much record time for me. I pieced the top in about 4 days, between Christmas clean-up, chores and taking care of 2 kids.  These blocks go together fast and I am loving how different each one looks in the Scrappy Trip Along Flickr group.

I just need massive amounts of voile for the back and then I can get to quilting it.  One of my goals in 2013 is to make handmade items for my home.   I sew all the time, but there isn’t even a quilt on our couch…so, this is going on the couch and I can’t wait to snuggle under it!

  1. GOOD for YOU! The colours are so cheery. Love it and I am off to work on mine ; )

  2. That is one of the best looking scrappy ‘Trips” I have ever seen. Nice job!

  3. It’s beautiful Janice! I’m still waiting to make even one of these blocks – a new rotary cutter (okay, two!) is on it’s way.

  4. I know I’ve written this on every pic of it you put on IG but I seriously love this!!!

  5. That was fast! What are you thoughts on quilting it?

  6. That was really fast and so cozy! You absolutely deserve a quilt of your own and this is a ‘classic’. Am seeing this QAL everywhere…..may have to be a “Suzie come lately”…hehe!

  7. It looks fantastic.

  8. Wow, a whole top done! Well done

  11. To my eye, your fabric choices make this the prettiest one I have seen!

  12. This looks great! I am so tempted to join in, but I’m not completely sold on it yet. Especially since I was thinking about using my Notting Hill jelly on it, and I would hate to use it and then not like the quilt. I just need to stop overthinking everything and jump in feet first!

  13. Nice! I havent been bitten by the STAL bug yet but yours is lovely!

  14. I so know this feeling…I make lots of quilts, but don’t have any in my house!! ha ha! They have all gone to other people. I have a couple in the works right now that are definitely staying so we can have some handmade goodness around here too. :)
